Take stock of everything already within you

What do these two videos have in common here? They are embodying the eagle spirit.

The eagle has a wide aperture and can see far and beyond, in space and time.

The eagle can zoom right in and zoom right out.

These two videos show the peak performance of eagle spirit. They look like show off’s, but they can’t help but to, it’s their birthright to have been endowed a keen eye, an eye for knowing what’s important and worth casting a line to, knowing what’s all fluff and superfluous. They discard the irrelevant, they retain the reverent. They can zoom right in to grab and go, the can zoom right out to not stay lost in the trees to see the forest.

They’ve been doing this their whole life, using their keen and meticulous eye, that it looks like a walk in the park when they leverage this gift. But they are simply taking stock of everything that was already within them.

Did they fail many times before? Of course. But the litany of those failures in succession led them up to this very point. When it comes to game time, they use the skills they’ve sharpened for forever long ago till now, to simply take stock.

“Show off”, people will snark when they see a simple culmination point of the inner work that has been done to get them here. Yet onlookers do not know how much private and laborious practice actually went into understanding all the depths and the breadths, letting their curious eyes wander and lead them to where many people dare not touch with a ten feet pole.

So yeah, be the eagle.
